How do I book a snowmobile rental or tour?
You can book directly on our website by visiting our booking page or by calling us at 307-250-6229 (Cody, WY), or 406-539-1478 (Cooke City, MT). We recommend booking early as our tours tend to fill up quickly, especially during peak season.
Do I need Reservations?
Reservations are not required, but are highly recommended. We will rent on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations do take priority over drop-ins.
What happens if I damage/wreck a machine?
Customers are responsible for paying for the entirety of the damage on the
machine. Should the cost of repairs outweigh the value of the machine, it is likely the customer will be responsible for purchasing the entire machine.
In addition, the renter will be responsible for paying for the loss of use, also
referred to as days the machine is out of use, with a cap of 10 days. This is agreed upon and signed by the customer as part of the rental agreement/waiver.
What is the cancellation policy?
• Full refunds are offered if and only if a reservation is cancelled 4 or more days
prior to the scheduled rental.
• 50% Refund is offered if the reservation is cancelled at least 2 days prior to the
scheduled rental.
• We do NOT offer refunds for cancellations the day before or same day as the
scheduled rental.
• To reschedule your rental, please call at least 4 days prior to your rescheduled
rental.
• Cancellations must be received during regular business hours, 8am-6pm MST. If
you do not receive confirmation of your cancellation, it will not be considered
canceled and payment is still expected for your reservation.
• Cancellations cannot be through a voicemail left, but must be discussed with a staff member.
• Weather Exceptions:
Severe weather advisory or air-quality advisory in place for Park County, WY
There will be no refunds for cancellations due to light snow or slightly cooler
temperatures
*We reserve the right to cancel a rental if we deem that snow conditions may present a risk to riders or the snowmobile rental company. This can include any conditions we determine as a risk. There will be no negotiation of this determination and a refund will be issued.
How old do I have to be to drive?
• To rent a snowmobile, you must be 25 years of age or older.
• When riding off trail, any adult 25 years of age or older with a valid driver’s
license are permitted to drive the machine as long as they are listed on the waiver.
Do your require a deposit?
Payment is full is required up-front.
Where do I pick up my rental?
Yellowstone Renters:

What time do I need to pick up/drop off my rental?
Yellowstone/Cody:
The pick up time will be between 7:30am and 9:30am in Cooke City, MT or at 8:30am in Cody, WY.
drop off anytime between 4:30pm and 6:30pm in Cooke City, MT or before 4:30pm in Cody, WY.
How long is a rental?
Rentals are booked for a 7-hour time frame; however, multi-day rentals are
available at a discounted rate. These rates are automatically applied at the time of
check-out.
Half-day rentals are not available.
**Exception are the older model snowmobiles - 2021 Skidoo’s**
Can I pick up my rental early?
You may pick up your unit the night before your scheduled rental; however, there
will be an additional $50 fee.
Can I add a trailer to my rental?
To rent a trailer for the rented machine, there will be a $75 fee for trailer use.
What is the best time of year to book a snowmobile?
The prime snowmobiling season runs from late November to early April. Booking during this window ensures the best snow conditions and availability. We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred dates.

Do I need to be an experienced rider to rent a snowmobile?
Technically no, but if you're new to snowmobiling we can show you safe areas for beginners. We also are partnered with Beartooth Rides & Guides, we highly recommend a guide for this terrain as it can be very technical, and avalanches are possible. What is the required avalanche gear?
All renters must have required safety gear in case of an avalanche. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Beacon
- Probe
- Shovel
**If you have your own equipment, it must be approved by our staff prior to your rental starting.
**If you do not have your own, we do have avalanche packs that are available to rent for an additional fee.**

Are helmets required?
Yes, helmets are a must. Helmets are available in Cooke City, MT for purchase or provided with your rental in Cody WY. If you have your own helmet you are welcome to use it once staff has approved it.
What should I wear for a snowmobile tour?
Dress warmly in layers. We recommend a waterproof outer layer, snow pants, gloves, and a warm hat. Snowmobile suits, boots, and gloves are available to rent if you don’t have your own gear. Be sure to have the necessary safety equipment or have rented it from us.
Is there a refuel fee?
If a unit is returned and has not been fueled fully, there will be a $55 charge per
machine.
What happens if I return my rental late?
If you do not return the rental by the respective time, there will be a fee of $75.
What taxes are there for rentals?

Are there lodging options nearby?
Yes, Cooke City and the surrounding Yellowstone area offer a variety of lodging options, from cozy cabins to hotels. We’re happy to provide recommendations based on your preferences.
What wildlife might we see during?
Yellowstone is home to an abundance of wildlife, including bison, elk, wolves, and eagles. While sightings are not guaranteed, many of our tours encounter wildlife in their natural habitat.
